BACKGROUND

Leaders IT, originally founded by our sister company Peoplebank, was to provide Senior Software Engineers to deliver into the Lawful Interception and Data Retention within a telecommunication company’s network. This involved verifying technology solutions that are essential to the business’ provision of mandatory legal and regulatory functions pertaining to Metadata Retention as per the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Amendment (Data Retention) Act 2015.

APPROACH

Leaders IT deployed 25 Senior Software Engineers to assist in lawful interception and data retention compliance. Engineers collaborated in high-performance teams, developing a single-page app with APIs hosted on a gateway, connecting to microservices on a container platform managing petabytes of data on a big data platform.

IMPACT

The involvement of Leaders IT engineers contributed to the successful development and implementation of technology solutions crucial for compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. Through collaboration and technical expertise, the project ensured that systems were capable of managing meta data retention requirements efficiently and securely.
