BACKGROUND

A leading energy retailer purchased a telecommunication company and needed to incorporate the telecommunication services offering to its existing and new customers on a mobile and web application platform. This project called the Multi- Product Retailer Program would support the energy retailer’s multi-product strategy, including greenfield roll-out of Adobe stack & Magento, as well as significant enhancements toIntegration(Azure) & ERP(SAP)platforms.

APPROACH

Leaders IT provided 12 Senior Software Engineers to add the telecommunication services offering to the sales team application platform. We collaborated with employees by using existing on-prem applications and creating an open visual studio

using .Net Core Web APIs. Once configured, it was deployed to the optimised cloud application in Azure. Our engineers were then required to deploy and debug applications in Azure cloud, which were identified in the logging process. We did this

in alignment with internal staff, working closely with UX teams to design, develop and maintain end-user interface.

IMPACT

Leaders IT engineers addressed the debugging complexity of a multi-server service by implementing a correlation ID solution. As requests progress through various services and databases, the correlation ID is maintained, allowing traceability and

aggregation of logs in platforms like Application Insight or Splunk. The correlation ID solution enhances the debugging process and improves the overall efficiency of the multi-server service. By undertaking these activities Leaders IT engineers successfully

contributed to the implementation of the energy provider’s e-commerce capability and integration of  telecommunication services into their platform.
